Plot of the Film
Avengers is a team of superheroes who defend earth against all types of threats from within and outside the Planet. But these heroes can’t be everywhere at the same time. Also, they often create a rakus over a matter. To minimize the damages, Tony Stark and Bruce Banner initiate Ultron, a program built to preserve peace. But things don’t always go according to plan. Ultron went rougue and now the future is bleak for Captain America, Black widow, Hawkeye, Ironman, Thor and the Hulk. As two new recruits Scarlet witch and Quicksilver join in, the whole planet is under threat of extinction. Now, the Avengers must assemble again to defeat Ultron and save the world. Movie Review of Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) By Bistro
When Avengers came out in 2012, fans-nerds-geeks, moviegoers and critics all around labeled it as a cinematic marvel. It still bewilders me how Joss Whedon successfully managed to compile all the superheroes from their own individual franchise and added them together on the screen. So the expectation for its sequel Avengers: Age of Ultron- which was released earlier this year was very high. After watching Avengers: Age of Ultron Movie Streaming Online in HD myself, I can tell it had the fun aspect, entertainment value: yes but it also cut down certain comicbook expectations from fans.
The veteran actors from the previous installation- Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk, Chris Evan as Captain America, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye returned. And Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Quick Silver and Paul Bettany as Vision was added. Joss Whedon wrote and directed the sequel. Now the question of utmost importance is has the movie lived up to the hype and expectation that it generated? The vast assembly of superheroes is put in the service of the oldest and the simplest science fiction story out there: the Frankenstein myth. Iron Man, aka Tony Stark, decided to breathe life into an artificially intelligent defense protocol to protect Earth. And Ultron voiced by James Spader is born and immediately turned on his creator. Sounds familiar? Well, it is the central plot of another hundred Hollywood movies. So, what makes Age of Ultron different than other cheesy flicks of Hollywood with a simple plot?
The usual plot points come into play, the Avengers fought among themselves while trying to find an alternative from Ultron destroying the world, certain glimpses of back stories are shown, new revelations are expressed and well the inevitable happens, the Avengers ultimately win the fight.
Although the movie fared well at the box office, it failed to please critiques and comic book fans alike. Their main gripe was how it was almost same as the first installation (admit it you still have the first Avengers movie lingering inside your brains! The main villain- Ultron, who appeared in the trailers as a menacing force and someone not to be trifled with, was cracking jokes and singing songs in the movie. The romance between Black Widow and Hulk was as forced as it could be. It was unnatural and at times, downright cringe-worthy.

One must applaud how Joss Whedon managed to put another two Avengers into the already huge cast, but Aaron Taylor Johnson’s portrayal of Quicksilver felt meek-ish in comparison with the X-Men one. The movie also raises the question of the Avengers whereabouts and their subsequent “assemble” or the lack of it when the president of United States of America was kidnapped and Iron Man had to deal with it all alone.
Scarlet Witch/Black Widow’s back story is explained a little bit in the movie which although a lot of people didn’t like and labeled it as unnecessary, it was ultimately a good sign from Marvel Cinematic Universe that they do care about their female leads. Could it lead to them finally giving Black Widow a movie of her own? We don’t know. And knowing Marvel, it probably will not. However, one can certainly hope.
James Spader was absolutely spectacular as the Ultron if you decide to ignore the jokes and singing section. Mark Ruffalo has already established himself as the definitive Hulk in the previous movie, but this time, he sealed it. Like any other Marvel movie, this too was filled with solid action scenes. The humor which sometimes worked and other time felt a bit out of sorts. I think even if you don’t consider this film as entertaining as the first one was, you should at least Watch Avengers Age of Ultron Movie Streaming in HD Online for Spader’s sake. He was brilliant!
A lot of claims were made regarding how Whedon was not let to vision the film how he wanted and how Marvel interrupted and coerced him to doctor it on their own away, which subsequently led to Whedon’s Twitter shut down, and taking a break from the whole movie. As the last Marvel movie from him for the time being, it would indeed feel good to see Avengers: Age of Ultron end on a high note. This was overall a decent sequel with plenty of actions and some notable character development. If this was meant to be the foundation for Captain America: Civil War and two part series Avengers Infinity War, then job well done. But as a standalone movie, it did not fare well.
I’ll say this again, Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) Film has great entertainment value. It is a fun movie, enjoyable 2 hours for you guys in front of the screen.
